Day 1 Recap

The Scott Enduro Cup presented by GoPro kicked off today on world-class singletrack against a backdrop of spectacular terrain in Sun Valley, Idaho. The first of the two-day enduro tested athletes on a six-stage course featuring a wide variety of trails, from off-camber rooty sections to classic fast-flowing trails through the woods.

Using a combination of lifts and pedal power for the transfer stages and impeccable downhill technique, athletes covered Bald Mountain terrain with flawless style and skill racers proved this event worthy for both seasoned athlete as well as the weekend warrior.

At the end of the day Aaron Bradford and Lizzy Adams managed to nail in the top spots and will have a seeding advantage for tomorrow’s race.  A total combined time from all timed stages on both race days will determine the overall champions. With plenty of sun and beer at the finish line, the day was primed for another great weekend of Idaho mountain bike races.

The second day of racing will speed into action tomorrow as the lifts spin at 9:00 a.m. at the River Run Base Area. Fans can find  real time results and follow their favorite athletes progress on itsyourrace.com <link> or by downloading the It’sYourRace app. Immediately following the race will be an awards party and Raffle benefiting the Wood River Bicycle Coalition at the Smith Optics Ride Sun Valley Expo area in downtown Ketchum.  For more information about the race and surrounding events click here.
