For 2nd Year, Enduro Cup & Fox Trot Come to Sun Valley Backcountry

When it comes to bike racing in Sun Valley, the norm in the past has been to keep events within the permitted ski area located on Bald Mountain. But for the second year, the SCOTT Enduro Cup presented by Vittoria and the Fox Trot 40-mile cross-country mountain bike race will take place on U.S. Forest Service and National Recreation Area both within and outside of the ski area boundary.

Mountain Sports International (MSI)—the event company that produces Enduro Cup and Ride Sun Valley—will work closely with the U.S. Forest Service to offer racers a new experience and showcase the multitude of Sun Valley trails.

However, it’s not easy to secure a permit for this type of event. MSI has had to rely on its reputation of holding successful races on public lands with Sun Valley, the Forest Service, and the BLM and have a very solid plan for protecting the trails.

The MSI operations staff is working with the Wood River Bike Coalition to repair the trails post event.
