LOCAL STOKER RIDES WITH NINKASI

Ever get to a town and need good direction as to where the best rides are? Our local experts are here for you all weekend taking riders on FREE guided rides on the best singletrack trails in the local area. This is a great opportunity for visitors and competitors alike to get out on some of Sun Valley’s best tails with the locals to get your stoke on!

These rides leave from the Sun Valley Visitor Center at 8:30 a.m. on June 28th and 29th. Bring your own food, water, and spare/repair equipment. Space is limited on a first-come, first-ride basis.

Who: Anyone and everyone, first-come, first-ride
What: Free mountain bike rides around the Wood River Valley open to the public and led by locals.
When: June 28-29 from 8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Start location: All rides will start at 8:30 a.m. from the Sun Valley Visitor’s Center. Shuttle rides and bike transportation will be provided to remote trail head start locations each day.

Saturday, June 28:
Sun Valley Starter: Visitor Center – Fox Creek
Time: 2 hours
Distance: 4 miles bike path/road 6 miles singletrack
Details: 700 feet of gentle climbing with moderate technical skill level. Medium difficulty.

Sun Valley Epic: Fox Peak
Time: 4-5 hours
Distance: 21 miles mostly singletrack
Details: 2100 feet elevation gain and the ride ends back in town at the Expo

Sunday, June 29:
Sun Valley Starter: Visitor Center – Corral Creek
Time: 1 1/2 hours
Distance: 4 miles bike path/road 6 miles singletrack
Details: 340 feet of climbing, Easy technical skill level

Sun Valley Epic: Red Warrior to Greenhorn Gulch
Time: 3 hours
Distance: 11 miles mostly singletrack
Details: 1500 feet elevation gain, shuttle to start, and shuttle return from trail head
